Abandon the GUI?
Yale professor of computer science Dave Gelernter is back on his "get rid of the graphical interface" mission, this time courtesy of CIO Insight. Gelernter's issue is with the way that information is usually organised - he argues that a 'narrative structure' better addresses the way people actually arrange their lives. Read about it in CIO Insight. Wired gave extensive coverage to Gelernter and his Lifestreams ideas a few years back...
